THE ANTICHRIST HAS TO WAIT.
In 2 Thessalonians 2, Paul explains that the man of sin is being held back until the restrainer is removed.
“Until he be taken out of the way.”
2 Thessalonians 2:7 KJV
“And then shall that Wicked be revealed.”
2 Thessalonians 2:8 KJV
Pay attention to “and then.” The restrainer is removed first. The Antichrist is revealed afterward.
The Holy Spirit restrains evil through the Church. At the rapture, Jesus gathers His Church, bringing that present restraining ministry to an end.
The Holy Spirit does not leave the earth. He continues working and saving people during the tribulation. Revelation 7:9–14 describes a great multitude coming out of the great tribulation, washed in the blood of the Lamb.
His restraining work through the Church and His saving work are different ministries. Ending that restraint does not mean He stops saving people.
