Becoming a Christian isn’t about cleaning yourself up, earning heaven, or becoming religious. It begins by believing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We are all sinners
Every one of us has sinned against a holy God. Sin separates us from Him, and none of our good deeds can erase our guilt or pay what we owe.
Jesus Christ paid for our sin
God loved us enough to send His Son. Jesus lived without sin, died on the cross in our place, was buried, and rose bodily from the grave on the third day. The debt was paid. Death was defeated.
Salvation is a gift
You cannot earn salvation through church attendance, baptism, charity, good behavior, or any other work. God saves by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Turn to Him, believe the Gospel, and trust Christ alone to save you.

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
“Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
You can come to Christ right now
Salvation isn’t found in repeating perfect words. It is found in Jesus Christ. Admit that you are a sinner, believe that He died and rose again for you, turn from unbelief, and call upon Him in faith.
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
If you want help putting your faith into words
Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and cannot save myself. I believe You died for my sins, were buried, and rose again on the third day. I turn to You and trust You alone as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen.
A prayer does not save you. Jesus saves you when you place your faith in Him.
