How much water do you need?
The National Academies sets general daily total water intake levels at about 2.7 liters for adult women and 3.7 liters for adult men. That includes food and every beverage, not just bottled water. On average, about 20% comes from food.

Your needs vary with age, activity, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and health. Heat and exercise can increase them. These are general adult reference levels, not a fixed bottle target for everyone. If you have a prescribed fluid limit, follow your clinician’s guidance.

Four 16.9 fl oz bottles = 67.6 fl oz. At four bottles a day, one person uses 28 bottles per week or 120 bottles in 30 days. That is exactly five 24-pack cases for a 30-day supply. One 24-pack lasts six days.
The familiar eight-glass rule is a planning example, not a universal hydration requirement.
