GOD PUT HIS PLAN ON A CALENDAR
Leviticus 23 is more than a list of Jewish holidays.
The seven feasts form a pattern.
Passover pointed to Christ, our Passover Lamb.
Unleavened Bread pictured the sinless One placed in the grave.
Firstfruits pointed to His resurrection.
Pentecost was fulfilled when the Holy Ghost was given in Acts 2.
The first four feasts were fulfilled in order, on their appointed days.
Then comes a long gap before the fall feasts.
Trumpets.
The Day of Atonement.
Tabernacles.
An awakening blast. Israel looking upon the One they pierced. The King dwelling with His people.
God laid out the pattern more than a thousand years before Christ was born.
The spring feasts pointed to His first coming.
The fall feasts point toward His return and Kingdom.
God did not leave history wandering around without a destination.
He put the appointments on His calendar.
