WHAT WAS LUCIFER’S JOB?

WHAT WAS LUCIFER’S JOB? First, the Bible never says Lucifer was Heaven’s worship leader. That sounds good in a sermon, but it is not in the text. Ezekiel calls him “the anointed cherub that covereth.” “Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so” Ezekiel 28:14 KJV He was created beautiful, wise, and powerful. He held a position near the throne of God. Then he made the oldest stupid mistake in creation. He mistook reflected glory for his own. Everything impressive about Lucifer came from God. His beauty came from God. His wisdom came from God. His position came from God. Then he looked at what he had been given and decided he deserved what could never be given. God’s throne. “I will exalt my throne above the stars of God” “I will be like the most High.” Isaiah 14:13–14 KJV Lucifer wanted a promotion from creature to Creator. That position was never available. Pride corrupted his wisdom, rebellion cost him his place, and the anointed cherub became the adversary. Now he deceives the world, blinds unbelievers, accuses Christians, twists Scripture, tempts men, and disguises himself as an angel of light. He will use open wickedness when it works, but he is just as comfortable behind a pulpit preaching a lie. Satan is dangerous, but he is not God’s opposite. God has no opposite. Satan is not all-powerful, all-knowing, or everywhere at once. He is a created being on a leash, and the Judge has already written his sentence. “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone” Revelation 20:10 KJV #MoreJoyMinistries
