WHAT IF THE RAPTURE HAPPENED THIS FEAST OF TRUMPETS? This isn’t a date-setting post. Jesus repeatedly commanded us to watch. There’s nothing wrong with opening the Bible, laying out the prophetic calendar and asking what the timeline could look like if the Lord came during the Feast of Trumpets in 2026. The Feast of Trumpets begins at sundown on September 11, 2026. It is a feast centered around the sounding of trumpets, and Paul describes the catching away of the Church with the voice of the archangel and the trump of God. “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16 Now, the Rapture itself doesn’t necessarily begin Daniel’s seventieth week. According to Daniel 9:27, the seven-year period begins when the coming ruler confirms a covenant with many. There could be days, months or even years between the Rapture and the confirmation of that covenant. Still, just for the sake of seeing the possible layout, what would the timeline look like if both events happened around the Feast of Trumpets in 2026? SEPTEMBER 2026: THE OPENING WINDOW A total solar eclipse occurs one month before the feast. A deep partial lunar eclipse follows about two weeks later. The United Nations General Assembly opens only days before Trumpets, bringing representatives from the nations together. Then the Feast of Trumpets begins at sundown on Friday, September 11. Trumpets sounding. Signs in the heavens. Israel at the center of world attention. The nations gathering together. None of this proves the Rapture will happen in September 2026, but it certainly makes the window worth watching. APRIL 13, 2029: APOPHIS PASSES EARTH About two and a half years into this possible timeline, the massive asteroid Apophis makes an extraordinarily close pass by Earth. Apophis is more than 1,000 feet wide and will pass closer to Earth than many satellites. It will even be visible without a telescope from portions of the world. Its name comes from the ancient Egyptian serpent associated with darkness, chaos and destruction. NASA says Apophis will not strike Earth, and I’m not claiming Apophis is Wormwood. Still, Revelation describes a great burning object falling from heaven during the trumpet judgments: “And the name of the star is called Wormwood.” Revelation 8:11 The Bible doesn’t tell us that Wormwood strikes exactly at the midpoint of the Tribulation. The judgments could unfold over a period of time. Even so, it is hard not to notice that one of the closest recorded passes by an asteroid of this size would happen during the first half of this possible seven-year timeline. FEBRUARY 2030: THE 1,260-DAY MIDPOINT Counting 1,260 days from the Feast of Trumpets in 2026 lands around February 22 or 23, 2030. That would represent the halfway point of Daniel’s seventieth week. This is the period when the covenant is broken, the abomination of desolation takes place and the Antichrist openly exalts himself as God. Jesus warned those living in Judea that when they see this event, they must flee immediately. The calculated midpoint doesn’t land on a major biblical feast or eclipse. That may not be surprising. The abomination of desolation isn’t a celebration. It is the moment the Antichrist’s mask comes off and the darkest half of the Tribulation begins. AUGUST 2033: THE 2,520-DAY ENDPOINT Seven prophetic years of 360 days equal 2,520 days. Counting 2,520 days from the Feast of Trumpets in 2026 lands around August 5 or 6, 2033. That falls immediately after Tisha B’Av, the annual Jewish day of mourning for the destruction of both Temples. Think about that connection. A possible seven-year Tribulation timeline would end beside the very date Israel remembers the destruction of the Temple, during a future period centered around Jerusalem, the Temple and the return of Jesus Christ. Then the 2033 biblical calendar becomes even more interesting. PASSOVER 2033 Passover begins at sundown on April 13, 2033. A total lunar eclipse occurs on April 14, the first full day of Passover. Two weeks before that blood moon, there is a total solar eclipse. Passover points directly to Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God whose blood delivers us from judgment. FEAST OF TRUMPETS 2033 A partial solar eclipse occurs on September 23, 2033. The Feast of Trumpets begins at sundown that same day. Seven Hebrew calendar years from Trumpets 2026 brings the calendar back to the Feast of Trumpets in 2033. DAY OF ATONEMENT 2033 Ten days after Trumpets comes the Day of Atonement. This is the day associated with national repentance, mourning and reconciliation with God. Zechariah says that Israel will eventually look upon the One they pierced and mourn for Him. “And they shall look upon me whom they have pierced.” Zechariah 12:10 FEAST OF TABERNACLES 2033 The Feast of Tabernacles begins at sundown on October 7, 2033. A total lunar eclipse occurs on October 8, the first full day of the feast. Tabernacles pictures God dwelling with His people. This feast becomes especially important after the Tribulation because Zechariah says the nations will keep it during the reign of Jesus Christ. “And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.” Zechariah 14:16 THE MILLENNIAL REIGN: APPROXIMATELY 2033 TO 3033 If this possible timeline ended with the return of Christ around 2033, the thousand-year Millennial Reign would extend approximately to the year 3033. Jesus Christ will rule the nations from Jerusalem. King David will serve under Him. The resurrected saints will reign with Christ. The surviving nations will travel to Jerusalem from year to year to worship the King and keep the Feast of Tabernacles. The feast that pictures God dwelling with mankind would be celebrated throughout the very kingdom in which Jesus physically dwells and rules among mankind. The King will be here. His throne will be here. His government will be righteous. The nations will come before Him. AFTER THE THOUSAND YEARS: APPROXIMATELY 3033 When the thousand years are finished, Satan will be released for one final rebellion. That rebellion will be destroyed. Satan will be cast into the lake of fire. The Great White Throne Judgment will take place, followed by the new heaven and the new earth. Then the picture behind the Feast of Tabernacles reaches its final and eternal fulfillment: “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them.” Revelation 21:3 Look at the possible prophetic layout: Feast of Trumpets 2026: The possible Rapture and opening window. April 2029: Apophis makes its historic close pass by Earth. February 2030: The calculated 1,260-day midpoint. August 2033: The 2,520-day endpoint near Tisha B’Av. Passover 2033: A total lunar eclipse on the first full day. Trumpets 2033: A solar eclipse as the feast begins. Atonement 2033: Israel’s national day of repentance. Tabernacles 2033: A total lunar eclipse on the first full day. Approximately 2033 to 3033: Jesus Christ reigns for one thousand years, and the nations keep the Feast of Tabernacles. After the Millennium: God eternally tabernacles with redeemed mankind. There is also the fact that many believe Jesus was crucified and resurrected in A.D. 33, which would make 2033 the possible two-thousandth anniversary of His death and resurrection. Does any of this prove that the Rapture will happen during the Feast of Trumpets in 2026? No. We don’t set dates, sell everything and stand on a hill staring at the sky. We watch. We study. We stay ready. The Rapture could happen before the feast, during the feast, years afterward or today. Our hope isn’t in an eclipse, an asteroid or a calendar calculation. Our hope is Jesus Christ. Still, when the biblical feasts, prophetic day counts, signs in the heavens, Israel, Jerusalem and world events begin forming patterns like this, I believe they’re worth paying attention to. Trumpets pictures the gathering. Atonement pictures Israel’s repentance and reconciliation. Tabernacles pictures the King dwelling with His people. From the trumpet call, through the Tribulation, into the thousand-year kingdom and finally into eternity, the entire timeline points to one Person: Jesus Christ. “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.” Matthew 24:42 Maranatha. #MoreJoyMinistries
