THE BIRTH & CROWNING OF KING JESUS: 👑 Most people know the story of Jesus’ birth… But few have ever been taught the biblical and historical depth behind it. Scripture warns us that traditions can sometimes obscure truth: “Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition…” — Mark 7:13 (KJV) So what does the Bible actually reveal about the birth of our King? WHEN WAS JESUS REALLY BORN? The commonly assumed date of 4 B.C. is built on a faulty conclusion drawn from Josephus. When the historical evidence is carefully examined, both Scripture and early church historians consistently point to 2 B.C., specifically in the autumn season. • Shepherds were living in the fields at night (Luke 2:8)—this never occurred in winter • Roman censuses were not conducted in winter due to impassable terrain • Judea becomes nearly inaccessible during the winter months • Jesus Himself warned about winter travel being dangerous (Matthew 24:20) Everything points away from a winter birth. 🎺 THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS: When the timeline is traced through the priestly courses, Elizabeth’s pregnancy, and the angel Gabriel’s announcement to Mary, Jesus’ birth lands around September 29, 2 B.C.—the Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah). This feast announces: • The coming of a King • The awakening call of God • Judgment and coronation Isn’t it fitting that the King of Kings would be born on the very feast that proclaims a King’s arrival? 📖 “For the LORD himself shall descend from heaven with a shout… with the trump of God.” — 1 Thessalonians 4:16 (KJV) Many Jewish scholars believe the Feast of Trumpets points to the return of Messiah. What if His return occurs on the anniversary of His birth? 📍 WHY BETHLEHEM EPHRATAH MATTERS: There were two Bethlehems in Israel—but prophecy named only one: “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah… out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel.” — Micah 5:2 (KJV) Mary never lived there. Yet Rome issued a decree that forced Joseph—whose hometown was Bethlehem Ephratah—to return at exactly the right moment. God moved an empire to fulfill a prophecy. This Bethlehem was: • The burial place of Rachel • The setting of Ruth’s redemption story • The birthplace of King David • And ultimately, the birthplace of our King Jesus God consistently chooses the small to confound the wise. 👑 THE MAGI — NOT THREE, BUT MANY: The Bible never says there were three wise men. It says magi—a powerful priestly caste from the East, trained in prophecy since the days of Daniel, who once served as Rab-Mag, Chief of the Magi. Their arrival in Jerusalem wasn’t quiet. It was a massive diplomatic and military caravan, powerful enough to alarm: • King Herod • Roman authority • And all of Jerusalem (Matthew 2:3) They didn’t ask where a king might be born… They asked where He who was born King already was. Their gifts told the whole story: • Gold — His Kingship • Frankincense — His Priesthood • Myrrh — His Death They fell down and worshiped Him. ⏳ THE BIRTH THAT JUDGED TIME: The world was never the same after His arrival. • B.C. became A.D. • Time itself was divided • History was judged at His birth 📖 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder.” — Isaiah 9:6 (KJV) The child was born—His humanity. The Son was given—His divinity. He is the I AM. 👑 CROWN HIM KING: At Christmas, we celebrate His birth. But celebration is not the same as submission. The Magi brought gifts. The shepherds brought worship. So here’s the real question: 👉 What are you bringing to Jesus this year? 👉 Is He truly King in your life? 📖 “At the name of Jesus every knee should bow… and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.” — Philippians 2:10–11 (KJV) This season, let’s do more than remember the manger. Let’s crown Him. 👑 - More Joy Ministries #CrownHimKing #KingJesus #BirthOfTheKing #BiblicalTruth #KJV #Messiah #FeastOfTrumpets #JesusIsLord #BibleStudy #EndTimes #ProphecyFulfilled
