THE CURTAIN TORE FROM THE TOP. When Jesus died, something happened inside the temple that people still overlook. “And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.” Matthew 27:51 KJV That veil separated the Holy Place from the Holy of Holies. Under the law, the high priest entered that inner sanctuary once a year, with blood. It was a barrier between sinful man and the presence of a holy God. Then Christ gave His life, and that barrier split. From the top to the bottom. Hebrews explains what it means. Through the blood of Jesus, believers can draw near to God. The passage calls His flesh the veil and describes the access He opened as “a new and living way.” Hebrews 10:19–22 KJV The torn curtain belongs in the gospel message. Jesus paid for the access we could never earn. Read Matthew 27 and Hebrews 10 together. There’s a reason that curtain tore when He died. #MoreJoyMinistries
