THE DREAM THAT MAPPED WORLD HISTORY Around 603 BC, Nebuchadnezzar dreamed of a massive statue. He refused to reveal the dream. Babylon’s wise men had to tell him what he saw and what it meant. Daniel prayed. God gave him both. “Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision.” Daniel 2:19 KJV The statue pictured the kingdoms that would rule after Daniel. GOLD BABYLON 605–539 BC “Thou art this head of gold.” Daniel 2:38 KJV SILVER MEDO-PERSIA 539–331 BC “The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia.” Daniel 8:20 KJV BRASS GREECE 331–168 BC “And the rough goat is the king of Grecia.” Daniel 8:21 KJV IRON ROME 168 BC onward Daniel said Greece’s first great king would fall while still strong, and his kingdom would be divided four ways. Alexander the Great died in 323 BC at only 32 years old. His empire was divided among four major successors. Daniel recorded the order of the empires, named Medo-Persia and Greece, and described Greece’s division before it happened. Then the statue was destroyed by a stone “cut out without hands.” “And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed.” Daniel 2:44 KJV Babylon fell. Persia fell. Greece fell. Rome fell. Jesus Christ is coming to establish the only Kingdom that never will. #MoreJoyMinistries
