ISLAM FAILS ITS OWN TEST Muslims believe Jesus was born of a virgin, performed miracles, and was the Messiah. That sounds close to Christianity until you find out that Islam denies nearly everything that makes Jesus Christ who He is. The Qur’an says Jesus isn’t God, isn’t the Son of God, and wasn’t crucified. That isn’t a minor theological disagreement. That’s a completely different Jesus. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1 KJV “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.” John 1:14 KJV Jesus Christ is God in the flesh. He died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. That’s the Gospel. Islam denies His identity, His crucifixion, and His resurrection. Muhammad said his revelations began after a spiritual being confronted him in a cave. Sahih al-Bukhari says the being grabbed him and pressed him until he could barely endure it. Muhammad went home trembling, asked his wife to cover him, and feared for himself. His wife took him to her cousin Waraqa, who decided that the being must’ve been the same messenger who visited Moses. That’s where Islam begins. A terrified man had a violent encounter with a spirit, and another man decided it came from God. The Bible had already warned about this. “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.” Galatians 1:8 KJV Seeing an angel wouldn’t prove the message came from God. Satan is supernatural too, and the Bible says he can appear as an angel of light. The message still has to be tested against what God has already said. Muhammad’s message fails that test. It denies the Son of God, rejects the cross, and replaces the finished work of Christ with submission, religious deeds, and the hope that Allah will be merciful. Islam also teaches that Muhammad is the example mankind should follow. Sahih al-Bukhari 5134 records Aisha saying that Muhammad married her when she was six and consummated the marriage when she was nine. Muslims can argue with Christians about that all day, but the account didn’t come from Christians. It came from Aisha and appears in one of Sunni Islam’s most trusted collections. The Qur’an has another serious problem when it talks about the Bible. It calls the Torah and Gospel guidance and light. It tells Christians to judge by the Gospel, and it says nobody can change Allah’s words. The Gospel had already been preached and copied across the world for centuries before Muhammad was born. Those manuscripts clearly taught that Jesus was crucified and rose from the dead. The Qur’an arrived roughly six hundred years later and denied the crucifixion. The usual response is that the Bible was corrupted, but that doesn’t solve anything. If Allah gave the Gospel and nobody can change his words, then how did anyone corrupt it? If nobody corrupted it, then the Qur’an contradicts the very revelation it claims to confirm. Islam loses either way. Then there’s the aorta. The Qur’an says what would happen if Muhammad invented revelation. “And if Muhammad had made up about Us some false sayings, “We would have seized him by the right hand; “Then We would have cut from him the aorta.” Surah 69:44–46 Sahih al-Bukhari 4428 records Muhammad’s words during the illness that killed him. He told Aisha that he still felt the poison from the food he ate at Khaybar and felt as though his aorta was being cut. The Qur’an gave the warning. Their own history recorded Muhammad’s final illness. You can decide what to do with that. Islam was the fastest-growing major religion in the world between 2010 and 2020. Its population increased by 347 million people, more than every other religion combined. Muslims now make up more than one-quarter of the world’s population. Its influence is growing in America too. Hamtramck, Michigan, elected a Muslim mayor and an entirely Muslim city council. New York City elected its first Muslim mayor in 2025, and he took office in 2026 using a Qur’an during the oath ceremony. Meanwhile, most Christians know almost nothing about Islam beyond the fact that Muslims use the name Jesus. We need to know their arguments, read their own books, and be able to explain why Islam falls apart. We also need to love Muslims enough to tell them the truth. Smiling politely while someone trusts a religion that cannot save them isn’t love. Muhammad never paid for anyone’s sin. The Qur’an offers no finished work of redemption. Allah never stepped into his own creation and shed his blood for mankind. Jesus Christ did. “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12 KJV Islam acknowledges a man named Jesus while denying who He is and what He accomplished.
