A SAVED SOUL. A WASTED LIFE:

A SAVED SOUL. A WASTED LIFE: Jesus paid the bill. You don’t split the check. “For by grace are ye saved through faith… Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV Salvation is settled by Christ. What isn’t settled is whether you’re going to do anything worthwhile with the life He bought. Paul describes a believer standing before Christ with nothing left to show for his labor. “If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.” 1 Corinthians 3:15 KJV Saved. Still suffered loss. Heaven can be your destination while wasted time is your résumé. That ought to get our attention. A man can spend forty years stacking money he can’t take with him, feeding appetites that are never full, protecting his comfort, ignoring his calling, and postponing obedience until “someday.” Then someday shows up. “We are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works.” Ephesians 2:10 KJV Works don’t buy salvation. Calvary already handled that. Fruit isn’t the price of being saved. It’s evidence that a living branch isn’t spending its whole life pretending to be firewood. “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit.” John 15:8 KJV There’s a dangerous little lie Christians tell themselves. “I’m saved. That’s all that matters.” No. That’s all that matters for where you spend eternity. It isn’t all that matters about how you spend Tuesday. Christ bought your eternity. He also bought your Monday morning, your money, your strength, your gifts, your time, and whatever years you have left. You can’t waste your salvation. Jesus secured that. You can absolutely waste your life. Don’t arrive in heaven with nothing but an entrance ticket. #MoreJoyMinistries
