👑 The Crown of Glory 👑 📖 1 Peter 5:1–4 "The elders who are among you I exhort… Shepherd the flock of God which is among you… and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away." The Crown of Glory is promised to faithful pastors, elders, and shepherds of God’s people. It is not about earthly recognition, but eternal reward from Christ Himself. 🔹 Called to Serve Ephesians 4:11–13 reminds us that God appoints apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers “for the equipping of the saints… till we all come to the unity of the faith.” Every role matters—whether preaching, teaching, or serving in helps (1 Corinthians 12:28). 🔹 Shepherds of the Flock God’s people belong to Him, not to man. Jesus is the Chief Shepherd, and pastors are under-shepherds accountable to Him. Leaders must serve: - Willingly, not grudgingly. - Humbly, not for selfish gain. - By example, not domination. 📖 1 Thessalonians 5:12–14 calls us to honor those who labor among us, encourage the timid, help the weak, and be patient with all. 🔹 God Gives the Increase "I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase." (1 Corinthians 3:6–9) Ministry is partnership with God—He brings the fruit, He remembers the labor, and He rewards the faithful. 🔹 Labor in His Strength Colossians 1:28–29 shows the heart of ministry: “For this I labor, striving with all the superhuman energy which He so mightily works within me.” 🔹 The Reward of Faithful Service "Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord… knowing that your labor is not in vain." (1 Corinthians 15:57–58) "For God is not unrighteous to forget your labor and the love you have shown." (Hebrews 6:10) 🌟 And finally, the promise: "When the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away." (1 Peter 5:4) 🙌 Encouragement for Today: Serve faithfully. Lead humbly. Love deeply. Your labor is not forgotten, and your reward is eternal. - Tony Campbell
