For years, Fauci had an answer for everything.
Masks. Lockdowns. Six feet. Vaccine mandates. Your job. Your children’s school. Even how many people you should have over for Thanksgiving.
That one still gets me. We really had a federal bureaucrat weighing in on how many relatives could sit around our own dinner table, and anybody who questioned it was treated like a threat to society.
Then Congress simply asked him about himself.
Rand Paul released 1,141 pages from Fauci’s pandemic diary. Fauci appeared under subpoena and invoked the Fifth Amendment 111 times, refusing to answer more than 100 questions. The committee is now pursuing a contempt referral.
While Americans were losing jobs, businesses and years of their lives, Fauci remained the highest-paid employee in the federal government.
His salary climbed from $434,312 in 2020 to $456,028 in 2021, then reached roughly $480,654 in 2022.
That’s about $1.37 million in federal salary during the three main pandemic years, more per year than the president.
His household’s disclosed net worth also reportedly climbed by about $5 million between early 2019 and the end of 2021.
That doesn’t prove Pfizer slipped him a check. Sure seems like someone did though.
Fauci never struggled to find words when your livelihood was on the line.
When his own answers carried consequences, he found the Fifth 111 times.
I can forgive a mistake. I can’t stand a fraud.
