ZAPHNATH-PAANEAH: Joseph entered Egypt wearing chains. Years later, Pharaoh placed his own ring upon Joseph’s hand, dressed him in fine linen, hung gold around his neck, and made all Egypt bow before him. Then Pharaoh changed his name. “And Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphnath-paaneah.” Genesis 41:45 KJV The name is commonly understood to mean “God speaks, and he lives,” and has also been translated “revealer of secrets.” The Hebrew slave became the ruler of Egypt. His brothers stripped away his coat. God clothed him like a king. They threw him into a pit. God raised him over a nation. The man they sold for silver became the man holding the bread that kept them alive. “But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good.” Genesis 50:20 KJV #MoreJoyMinistries
