HOW TO GIVE YOUR LIFE TO CHRIST: This is not about joining a church. It is not about cleaning yourself up first. It is not about becoming religious. It is about surrender. The Bible says in Romans 3:23 that all have sinned. Every one of us. Sin is not just bad behavior. The Greek word for sin is 'hamartia', it means “to miss the mark.” We have all missed God’s standard of holiness. The consequence is serious. Romans 6:23 says the wages of sin is death. Spiritual separation from God. But that is not the end of the story. John 3:16 declares that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus did not come to start a religion. He came to pay a debt you could not pay. On the cross, when He said “It is finished,” the Greek word was Tetelestai. Paid in full. So how do you respond? The Bible gives it clearly in Romans 10:9-10: If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Confess means to agree with God. The Greek word homologeo means “to say the same thing.” You agree that you are a sinner. You agree that Jesus is Lord. You trust that His death and resurrection are enough. Believe is not intellectual agreement. The Greek word pisteuo means to trust, to rely upon fully. This is surrender. You come to Him honestly. You repent. The Greek word metanoia means a change of mind that results in a change of direction. You turn from self-rule and turn to Christ. You can pray something like this: “Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I cannot save myself. I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and place my trust in You alone. I surrender my life to You. Be my Lord and Savior.” There is no magic in the words. The power is in the Person. If you mean it, the Bible says you are born again. The Holy Spirit comes to dwell within you. You are justified. Declared righteous. Adopted into God’s family. Salvation is not earned. It is received. Ephesians 2:8–9 says it is by grace through faith, not of works, so that no one can boast. This is the greatest decision a human being can make. If you have made this decision today, do not stay silent. Tell someone. Get into Scripture. Be baptized. Walk with other believers. Growth follows surrender. And if you are reading this and hesitating, ask yourself one honest question: What is stopping you? - More Joy Ministries - Tony Campbell #MoreJoyMinistries
