Is “Once Saved, Always Saved” Biblical? Once a person is truly saved, are they always saved? Yes—Scripture teaches that salvation is eternally secure. Salvation is not merely saying a prayer or making a decision. It is a sovereign work of God, where an unregenerate sinner is washed, renewed, and born again by the Holy Spirit (John 3:3; Titus 3:5). God gives the believer a new heart and a new spirit, and His Spirit empowers obedience to His Word (Ezekiel 36:26–27; James 2:26). Here’s why the Bible teaches eternal security: 🔒 1. God Finishes What He Starts “Those He predestined, He also called; those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified.” (Romans 8:30) From God’s perspective, our glorification is already certain. Justified believers are as secure as if they were already in heaven. ⚖️ 2. No One Can Condemn God’s Elect “Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen?” (Romans 8:33–34) Christ—our Savior—is both our Advocate and our Judge. No accusation can stand. 🌱 3. New Birth Cannot Be Undone Believers are born again (John 3:3). Scripture never teaches that someone can be “un-born” spiritually. 🔥 4. The Holy Spirit Permanently Indwells Believers The Spirit lives in every believer and places them into the Body of Christ (John 14:17; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:13). Losing salvation would require being “un-indwelt”—something the Bible never teaches. ⏳ 5. Eternal Life Is Eternal “Whoever believes in Him shall have eternal life.” (John 3:15) If eternal life could be lost, it wouldn’t be eternal at all. ❤️ 6. Nothing Can Separate Us from God’s Love “Nothing… in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38–39) ✨ Conclusion: The same God who saves us is the God who keeps us. Salvation rests on God’s power, not ours. 👉 Once saved, always saved—our salvation is eternally secure. - More Joy Ministries
