The Events of the Tribulation — A Biblical Timeline: The Bible does not present the Tribulation as vague symbolism or spiritual metaphor. Scripture gives a structured, sequential, and escalating series of events that unfold after the removal of the Church. When the restrainer is removed, judgment begins. This is what the Bible actually says. The Church Removed- Revelation 4:1–2 John—serving as a representative picture of the Church—is called up to heaven. From this point forward, the Church is no longer seen on earth. This is the Rapture. The Tribulation Begins- Daniel 9:27 A seven-year covenant is confirmed with Israel by the Antichrist. This event officially starts the Tribulation. The First Four Seals (The Four Horsemen) Revelation 6:1–8 False peace through diplomacy. Global war. Famine and economic collapse. Death on a scale never seen before. By the fourth seal, one-fourth of the world’s population is dead—nearly two billion people by today’s numbers. Martyrdom Explodes- Revelation 6:9–11 An uncountable number come to Christ and are martyred for their testimony. Evangelism shifts to Israel, the 144,000, and the Two Witnesses. God does not leave the world without truth. Cosmic Judgment- Revelation 6:12–17 A catastrophic earthquake shakes the entire earth. Men hide underground and beg for death rather than face the wrath of God. Bunkers do not help. The Trumpet Judgments- Revelation 8–11 Vegetation destroyed. Seas poisoned. Fresh water turned bitter. Darkness intensified. Demonic torment unleashed. A two-hundred-million-man army kills one-third of humanity. By the midpoint, up to half the world’s population is gone. The Two Witnesses- Revelation 11:3–14 For 1,260 days, two literal witnesses—operating with Moses- and Elijah-like power—preach boldly. Their ministry spans the entire first half of the Tribulation. Midpoint: Satan Cast Down Revelation 12–13 The false religious system is destroyed. The Antichrist receives a deadly wound and is healed. Satan is cast out of heaven and fully indwells the Beast. From this moment on, the Tribulation becomes pure hell on earth. The Mark of the Beast- Revelation 13:11–18 Worship is enforced. The mark is mandatory to buy or sell. Refusal means death. Those who take the mark are irredeemable. The Vial (Bowl) Judgments- Revelation 16 Painful sores. Seas and rivers turned to blood. Scorching heat. Total darkness. Global deception. The gathering for Armageddon. These are the most severe judgments ever poured out by God. Babylon Falls- Revelation 18 The final collapse of the global economic, political, and commercial system—the last expression of man’s rebellion since Babel. The Glorious Appearing- Revelation 19:11–21 Jesus Christ returns in power and great glory as King of kings and Lord of lords, defeats His enemies, and establishes His thousand-year reign on earth. Why Timing Matters: Even a mid-Trib view places believers inside unimaginable suffering. Scripture presents the Rapture before this judgment begins—not as fear-bait, but as mercy. This is not escapism. This is Scripture. - More Joy Ministries
