THE UNHOLY TRINITY — (A COUNTERFEIT OF GOD) A Revelation 12–13 Bible Study: The Bible teaches that there is one true God revealed in three Persons— Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In the last days, Scripture reveals that evil forms its own counterfeit trinity: Satan – the Dragon (Revelation 12) The Antichrist – the Beast from the Sea (Revelation 13:1–10) The False Prophet – the Beast from the Earth (Revelation 13:11–18) Just as: The Father gives authority to the Son The Son is worshiped The Holy Spirit testifies to Christ So too: Satan empowers the Antichrist The Antichrist is worshiped The False Prophet promotes and glorifies him This is Satan’s final deception. THE DRAGON — SATAN (Revelation 12) John identifies the dragon as “that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan” (Revelation 12:9). He is cast down from heaven Knowing his time is short, he unleashes fury on the earth. His rage is especially directed toward Israel and God’s people THE BEAST FROM THE SEA — THE ANTICHRIST (Revelation 13:1–10) The Antichrist rises from the “sea,” a biblical picture of Gentile nations. Key traits: Receives power, authority, and a throne from Satan Appears to suffer a mortal wound, but is healed The world marvels and worships him Rules for forty-two months (three and one-half years) Blasphemes God openly Makes war with the saints “So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast… saying, ‘Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?’” (Revelation 13:4) He presents himself as the savior of a world in chaos, but he is a false Christ. THE BEAST FROM THE EARTH — THE FALSE PROPHET (Revelation 13:11–18) The second beast appears “like a lamb,” but speaks like a dragon. His role: Promotes worship of the Antichrist. Performs lying signs and wonders. Deceives the nations. Establishes a global religious system. Enforces the Mark of the Beast (666). Controls commerce so that no one may buy or sell without allegiance. He imitates the Holy Spirit, but leads people away from Christ. THE ANTICHRIST — WHAT SCRIPTURE REVEALS His Character: Exalts himself above God (Daniel 11:36) Claims divine status (2 Thessalonians 2:4) Denies the Father and the Son (1 John 2:22) Speaks continual blasphemy (Revelation 13:6) His Power: Authority over nations (Revelation 13:7) Changes times and laws (Daniel 7:25) Supported by ten kings (Revelation 17:13) His Deception: Satanic miracles and lying wonders (2 Thessalonians 2:9) Fire called down from heaven A living image of the beast (Revelation 13:15) His Reception: Worshiped by all whose names are not written in the Book of Life Those who refuse allegiance are persecuted and killed HIS END IS CERTAIN Despite his power, the Antichrist will not fall by human hands. Scripture declares: “He shall be broken without hand” (Daniel 8:25) “The Lord shall consume him with the breath of His mouth” (2 Thessalonians 2:8) He will be cast alive into the lake of fire (Revelation 19:20) FINAL TRUTH: The unholy trinity is Satan’s final deception, but it is temporary. Jesus Christ is the true King, the true Savior, and the victorious Lord. “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” (Revelation 22:20) - More Joy Ministries
