WHERE WERE THE GRAPES? Jesus turned water into wine at a wedding in Cana. We know the story. Think about what actually happened. When He multiplied the loaves and fish, there were loaves and fish in His hands. When He raised Lazarus, there was a body in the tomb. At Cana, the servants filled six stone waterpots with water. Where were the grapes? Wine comes from fruit grown on a vine. There is a harvest, a crushing, and fermentation. Everything that normally produces wine was missing from those pots. “Thou hast kept the good wine until now.” John 2:10 KJV The ruler of the feast tasted it without knowing where it came from. He recognized its quality. The servants knew those pots had just been filled with water. The first recorded miracle in John’s Gospel revealed the very thing John told us about Jesus in the opening chapter. “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” John 1:3 KJV He created the soil it grows in, the rain that waters it, and the laws that turn its fruit into wine. At Cana, the Creator supplied the finished wine without a vineyard. #MoreJoyMinistries
