DANIEL 11 & MODERN GEOPOLITICS: Daniel 11 is one of the most detailed geopolitical prophecy chapters in the entire Bible. Most teachers stop around verse 35 and say everything afterward is ancient history. That is a serious mistake. Daniel 11:36–45 shifts abruptly into the end-time period and begins describing the same final world leader, alliance system, and political environment seen in Daniel 7, Daniel 8, Revelation 13, and Revelation 17. This chapter reveals not only who rises — but how he rises. It is the missing link between prophecy and modern geopolitics. Daniel writes: “And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god… Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers… nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.” Daniel 11:36–37 This is the same figure Paul describes: “Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 This is the same beast John describes: “And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies.” Revelation 13:5 Daniel then shows how this leader gains and maintains power. Not through religion. Not through brute force at first. But through strategic alliances and economic leverage. “But he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.” Daniel 11:21 The Hebrew and Aramaic here mean smooth speech, intrigue, political maneuvering, and diplomatic deception. This is not a warlord. This is a negotiator. A deal-maker. A crisis broker. Daniel then describes shifting alliances, betrayals, and temporary coalitions: “And both these kings’ hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper.” Daniel 11:27 This is modern geopolitics in one verse. Leaders signing agreements they never intend to honor. Peace treaties that collapse. Summits filled with deception. Temporary alignments that dissolve into hostility. This is exactly what we are watching unfold today. Daniel then shows a major turning point: “And at the time appointed he shall return, and come toward the south; but it shall not be as the former, or as the latter.” Daniel 11:29 This signals a failed military or political campaign. A humiliation. A setback. Then something critical happens. The leader pivots from external conquest to internal control. “Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant.” Daniel 11:28 This mirrors Revelation 13. The Antichrist turns from diplomacy to domination. He begins consolidating power. Enforcing loyalty. Eliminating dissent. Daniel then describes religious and ideological persecution: “And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” Daniel 11:32 This is not ancient Antiochus. This is end-time persecution of believers. Revelation 13 confirms this: “And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them.” Revelation 13:7 Now comes the geopolitical alliance framework. Daniel shows that this leader relies on a network of political partners: “He shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.” Daniel 11:39 This is exactly what Revelation 17 says: “These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.” Revelation 17:13 This is alliance-based governance. Not empire by conquest. Empire by cooperation. Daniel then describes massive regional war movements: “And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind.” Daniel 11:40 This shows two major geopolitical blocs colliding with the Antichrist’s system. Southern alliance. Northern alliance. This aligns with: Middle East instability Russia-Iran-Turkey axis African-Middle Eastern coalitions European political consolidation Daniel then gives the exact end-time geography: “And he shall enter also into the glorious land.” Daniel 11:41 This is Israel. Jerusalem becomes the political and military center of the final world system. Exactly as Revelation 11 and Zechariah 12–14 describe. Finally, Daniel ends with this: “Yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.” Daniel 11:45 This is Revelation 19. No allies remain. No rescue comes. No escape happens. The entire alliance system collapses in one moment when Jesus returns. WHY THIS MATTERS RIGHT NOW: Daniel 11 describes a world of- Temporary alliances Strategic betrayals Economic leverage Political deception Collapsed treaties Rising authoritarian control Global realignment after regional wars This is not future fantasy. This is modern geopolitics. Russia–Iran–Turkey military coordination BRICS economic realignment Middle East normalization treaties Currency de-dollarization Digital ID and CBDC development UN and EU sovereignty pooling NATO vs counter-alliances Energy wars Rare earth competition The world is reorganizing into blocs. Exactly as Daniel said it would. Daniel 11 is not finished. We are living inside its final verses. - More Joy Ministries - Tony Campbell
